Vagif Poetry Days begin in Azerbaijan's Shusha

The opening of the Vagif Poetry Days has taken place in Azerbaijan's Shusha, Report informs.

The event was attended by Minister of Culture Adil Karimli, Special Presidential Representative in the Shusha District Aydin Karimov, representatives of the Ministry of Culture, the Writers' Union, as well as writers and poets from Turkic countries.

TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev called the Vagif Poetry Days one of the most significant events in culture and literature.

He also noted the event's rich program and its role in developing cultural ties among Turkic states.

People's poet Vahid Aziz emphasized the high level of organization and noted that holding the Vagif Poetry Days has become a good tradition.

The event also included an awards ceremony for the winners of the "Tomorrow of the Word: Festival of Young Poets of the Turkic World" festival.

The event continued with an artistic composition.
