Internet users in China exceed 989 million

The number of internet users in the People's Republic of China has increased by 5.2% to 989 million since September last year, Report informs, citing the China Network Information Center.
Therefore, over the past five months, the population's access to the global network rose by 3.4 percentage points to 70.4%. In 2020, for the first time in history, the total output of the country's Internet industry surpassed 100 trillion yuan ($15.4 trillion).
The number of online shoppers reached 782 million people. Last year alone, Chinese people traded $1.81 trillion online.
