IndiGo flight makes emergency landing in Muscat after pilot falls ill

An aircraft operated by Indian airline IndiGo made an emergency landing in Muscat after the captain's health suddenly deteriorated during the flight, Report informs, citing Indian media.

The incident occurred on September 3 on flight 6E 1302 from Doha to Bengaluru.

The aircraft was diverted to Muscat to provide the pilot with urgent medical assistance and landed safely there.

"The pilot who experienced health problems was taken to a local medical facility for emergency treatment. His condition has now improved. All passengers and crew members on board the aircraft are completely safe," the airline said.

IndiGo sent another aircraft and a new crew to Muscat to continue the passengers' journey to Bengaluru.
