India's daily COVID mortality reaches record high

Indian registered 401,078 new cases of coronavirus infection over the past 24 hours, Report informs, citing the Indian Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
The total number of those infected during the entire epidemic reached 21,892,676 in the country.
The number of COVID-related deaths increased by 4,187 over the past day and reached 238,270.
For the first time in India, the daily coronavirus mortality exceeded 4,000. The previous daily record was seen on May 6, when 3,980 Indians lost their lives due to the virus.
Meanwhile, the number of recovered patients increased by 318,609 and reached 17,930,960. Currently, 3,723,446 patients with coronavirus are being treated, which is 78,282 more than on early Friday.
