EU imposes sanctions against 78 Belarusian individuals, 8 entities

European Union (EU) decided to impose restrictive measures against 78 Belarusian individuals and eight entities, Reports states, citing TASS.
This decision was made in view of the escalation of serious human rights violations in Belarus.
The EU has blacklisted MAZ, Belaz, New Oil Company, and five other law firms. In addition, sanctions were imposed on individuals, including the country's defense minister and the head of the Investigative Committee, as well as high-ranking businessmen and law enforcement officials.
