E5 leaders to meet in Berlin to discuss Ukraine

The leaders of the E5 countries - Germany, United Kingdom, France, Italy, and Poland - will meet in Berlin on June 24 to discuss developments related to the conflict in Ukraine.

According Report, citing the Italian government, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni will participate in the summit.

The E5 group was established in 2024 amid growing calls for European rearmament and closer coordination of support for Ukraine in response to Russia's invasion.

The grouping brings together Europe's five largest countries in terms of military spending and defense capabilities. During its first year, the format focused on meetings of defense ministers, but it has since evolved into a platform for high-level consultations involving heads of government and state.
