China: Over 70,000 people stranded in disaster zone due to heavy rains

More than 70,000 people have been stranded in central China's Hunan province due to heavy rains and flooding, Report states, referring to TASS.
According to Xinhua, heavy rains fell in 18 cities and districts of the region. The rescue service evacuated more than 1,800 residents from the area.
The local meteorological service said the water level in some rivers had risen by 1-6 meters.
