The German government is finalizing its investigation into the drone discovered at Leipzig/Halle Airport and will announce response measures in the coming days, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said in an interview with ARD TV, Report informs.
"We are concluding the investigation. Within the government, there is wide consensus on our response. In the coming days, we will make this clear," Merz said when asked about Russia's alleged involvement.
He stressed that Germany's measures will be coordinated with the European Union and NATO. "This will be Germany's response, but it will not come as a surprise to our EU and NATO partners," Merz added, noting that final coordination will take place shortly.
