MEDIA: Reports circulating on social media about compensation for privatization vouchers are false

"Information circulating on social media and messaging platforms regarding compensation for privatization vouchers is entirely false. These messages falsely state that registration is underway and urge citizens to contact specific mobile phone numbers," Azerbaijan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Media Development Agency (MEDIA) said in a joint statement, Report informs.

According to the statement, these announcements are intentionally misleading and lack any factual basis.

"Citizens are strongly encouraged to ignore these fraudulent claims. Under no circumstances should they contact unknown phone numbers, make payments, or disclose personal and financial information-including bank card details, identity numbers, and SMS verification codes," the statement said.

"An investigation into this misinformation is currently underway," it added.
