Blinken urges Baku, Yerevan to restore communications in region

In the South Caucasus, the US welcomes the resumption of the direct dialogue between the governments of Azerbaijan and Armenia, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said at the OSCE Ministerial Council meeting in Stockholm, Report informs.
He has urged the sides to make progress on humanitarian issues, including the demining of the liberated territories.
“Here we can work together with Russia to continue making progress. We urge all bodies to result on other outstanding issues like border demilitarization and demarcation, restoration of economic and transport communications, and continue to be engaged with Minsk Group co-chairs for lasting peace,” he added.
