Official Yerevan’s persistent denial of the continued presence of Armenian armed forces in Karabakh after November 9, 2020, inflamed the situation, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, Report informs.
The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that this was one of the “key reasons for the latest September aggravation.”
The agreement reached through the mediation of the Russian peacekeepers on September 20 on the withdrawal of the remaining Armenian units from Karabakh and complete disarmament with the removal of heavy equipment and weapons revealed the real picture and created the preconditions for sustainable de-escalation, the Russian Foreign Ministry noted.
