Delays affecting certain freight trucks on the Azerbaijan-Georgia route are linked to laboratory inspections of cargo carried out in accordance with Georgian legislation.
According to the Azerbaijan International Road Carriers Association, cited by Report, the inspections are conducted based on the nature of the cargo being transported, which may result in delays for some vehicles.
The association noted that an oral survey of carriers operating on the Georgian route confirmed that the issue is not widespread and that freight transportation is proceeding as normal.
It added that the relevant state authorities are taking the necessary measures and that additional information will be provided later.
