Draw held for int'l Mingachevir Regatta 2026

The draw for the international Mingachevir Regatta 2026 has determined the athletes' competition schedule, the Azerbaijan Water Sports Federation told Report.

The opening races will take place on September 29 at the Kondalanchay Reservoir in Fuzuli.

Participants will compete in kayak and canoe events over a distance of 200 meters.

Team coaches and officials participated in the draw, determining the starting order and the specific race distances for the athletes.

On September 30 and October 1, the competition will continue at the Kur Olympic Training and Sports Center in Mingachevir, featuring races across all program categories and distances.

More than 100 young paddlers from Azerbaijan, the Czech Republic, Georgia, Hungary, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Tajikistan, Türkiye, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan will compete in the tournament.

The regatta is jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Azerbaijan Water Sports Federation.
