Minister: Tajikistan interested in expanding transport corridors, simplifying trade procedures

Tajikistan is prioritizing the active enhancement of its transport and logistics infrastructure and the expansion of trade and economic cooperation with neighboring states and strategically important macro-regions, Report informs, citing Tajikistan's Minister of Economic Development and Trade Abdurahmon Abdurahmonzoda speaking at the Second Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF 2026).

"For Tajikistan, as a landlocked country, the development of transport and trade connectivity is of key importance. We are interested in further promoting and expanding regional transport corridors, simplifying trade procedures, and deepening ties with the markets of Central Asia, China, South Asia, CIS countries, and other regions," the minister noted.

As Abdurahmonzoda emphasized, against the backdrop of global economic instability, the republic remains committed to systematically diversifying its foreign economic relations.

"Ensuring the sustainability of the national economy is impossible when relying on a single partner or a single vector of development," he stated.
