Closer ties between continental Europe, particularly Italy, and Azerbaijan and Central Asia will help attract major Italian technology companies to the region, FSI founder and CEO Maurizio Tamagnini said at the 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF 2026) in Baku.
He said investment company FSI was working to help Italian companies gain access to the markets of Azerbaijan and Central Asia.
"The State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) has long been a partner of our company. Italy needs gas and is Azerbaijan's largest energy partner, purchasing 10 billion cubic meters. These are strong, strategic relations," Tamagnini said.
