IND: 96,000 homes must be delivered daily to solve housing crisis

To resolve the housing crisis, by 2030 it will be necessary to deliver 96,000 homes every single day, said Karina Garnaga, Head of the Landscape Architecture Department at IND, during the Business Assembly at the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, Report informs.

She stressed that speed is a critical factor in addressing this challenge: "But we must not only move fast – we must also advance without leaving territorial, ecological, and social problems for the future. The most costly mistakes in the construction sector occur at the earliest stages, even before building begins."

Garnaga emphasized that the key issue is not "speed versus quality" but rather "regulation versus uncertainty": "These complex measures do not necessarily require heavier regulation. I believe they require earlier regulation. For example, if we are talking about blue and green infrastructure, it must be addressed before land plots are divided."
