The first artificial intelligence specialists trained in Azerbaijan will not be job seekers, but job creators, Hussam Amrouch, Chair of the AI Processor Design Department at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and Director of the Munich Center for Advanced AI Chips, told journalists.
Report quotes him as saying within the framework of cooperation with Azerbaijan, support will be provided for the establishment of bachelor"s and, in the future, master's programs in the country. He noted that cooperation, which begins at the undergraduate level, will lay the foundation for a long-term partnership.
Amrouch said the university is ready to share knowledge and expertise in computer science and artificial intelligence with Azerbaijani students.
"We plan to host students in Munich so they can become familiar with Germany"s innovation ecosystem and bring that knowledge back to Azerbaijan," Amrouch said.
"After completing the first phase of the project, the first generation of specialists will be job creators rather than job seekers. We will see major opportunities in artificial intelligence, the startup ecosystem, and entrepreneurship. The key strength of TUM lies not only in education and research, but also in strong expertise in entrepreneurship," the professor emphasized.
