Cargo transport by sea in Azerbaijan more than doubles

In 2023, 2,602,380 tons of cargo worth $1,924,683,000 were transported by sea in Azerbaijan, respectively, up 2.1 times and 49.6% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee.

In the reporting period, 78,913 tons (+48%) of cargo worth 182,486,000 (+2.6 times) were exported, while 2,523,467 tons (+2.1 times) worth 1,742,215,000 (+43%) were imported by sea.
