Azerbaijan Railways increases transit freight by 9%

In 2020, Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) CJSC transported 14.632 million tons of cargo (3.8% less than in 2019).
Report informs, citing the company, that 7.683 million tons or 52.5% of cargo transportation was international (import-export) - a drop of 5.5% from a year earlier.
During the reporting period, transit freight increased by 8.85% to 4.131 million tons, while domestic load decreased by 14.6% to 2.187 million tons.
