Azerbaijan cuts car production by 50% in January

This January, Azerbaijan produced machinery and equipment, other vehicles, cars, trailers, and semi-trailers worth a total of 22.7 million manats ($13.3 million), Report informs, referring to the State Statistics Committee.

The production of cars, trailers, and semi-trailers in annual comparison decreased by 1.9 percent, other vehicles - by 66.7 percent, while the output of machinery and equipment increased by 23.5 percent.

In January, 96 cars were produced, a drop of 50 percent from the corresponding month of last year. As of Feb. 1 this year, stocks of finished products amounted to 213 units.
