Iran, Oman discuss opening third corridor through Strait of Hormuz

Talks between Iran and Oman are focused on restoring shipping routes in the Strait of Hormuz, Report informs, citing Bloomberg.

The sources noted that discussions include the possible reopening of a third maritime corridor through the strait.

Currently, vessels use either the northern route along Iran's coast or the southern route closer to Oman. The third corridor lies between these two but has been largely unused since the start of US and Israeli military operations against Iran.

According to the agency, Omani negotiators are optimistic that an agreement could be reached within days.
