Arzu Taghiyeva says urban statistics are being compiled across Azerbaijani cities

Statistics are calculated by cities in Azerbaijan, stated Arzu Taghiyeva, sectoral head at the State Statistical Committee, during the Q&A session following the discussion titled "Future Urbanization: How Will Your City Change in the Coming Decades?" held within the framework of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), Report informs.

She noted that, based on these statistical indicators, coordinated work is carried out with relevant state agencies:

"Here, aspects such as transport accessibility and special sustainability are definitely taken into account. Based on the indicators, we carry out multi-directional calculations and apply the data obtained from relevant agencies onto maps. Of course, all of this is based on population density indicators."

The sector head also emphasized that they cooperate with the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) regarding the mentioned statistical data and that they are pleased with this cooperation.
