Cigarette production in Azerbaijan rises nearly 20%

In January–May of 2026, Azerbaijan produced just over 7.042 billion cigarettes, marking a 19.8% increase year-on-year (YoY), Report informs, citing the country's State Statistical Committee.
As of June 1, the country had more than 1.145 billion finished products in stock, which is 46.1% higher than a year earlier.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan's processed tobacco products output rose 2.4 times YoY, reaching nearly 1,917 tons.
By June 1, processed tobacco products in Azerbaijan's stock stood at 1,363 tons, twice as much as a year earlier.
