Azerbaijan to launch new Hazelnut Processing Plant in Khachmaz

One of the sectors of agriculture in Azerbaijan with big export potential is the cultivation of hazelnuts, Report informs, citing the Ministry of Economy.
The country takes measures to increase hazelnut production, export the product to new markets. One of these measures is to build a Hazelnut Processing Plant provided with the new technologies.
AZNUTS LLC in the Khudat city of the Khachmaz district is among such enterprises.
The Plant, which is expected to be put into use soon, will process 1,500 tonnes of unshelled hazelnut and provide more than 30 jobs.
With an investment cost of AZN 2.7 million, the Plant has received a preferential loan worth AZN 2 million through the Entrepreneurship Development Fund.
