Azerbaijan's manufacturing output rises 3.4% in January-August

Azerbaijan's manufacturing sector produced goods and provided industrial services worth 14.9121 billion manats in January-August 2026.

According to Report, citing the State Statistical Committee, the figure was 3.4% higher than in the same period last year.

The strongest growth in manufacturing was recorded in the production of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers, which increased by 89.3%.

Pharmaceutical production rose by 48.4%, while wood processing and the manufacture of wood products excluding furniture increased by 38.7%. Textile production grew by 28.8%, tobacco products by 16.3%, paper and cardboard by 14.1%, rubber and plastic products by 9.2%, and construction materials by 9%.

Production of leather goods and footwear increased by 8%, food products by 7.9%, metallurgy by 6.9%, and electrical equipment by 5.4%.

Overall industrial output in Azerbaijan declined by 0.4% year-on-year to 44.6203 billion manats in the first eight months of the year.

Oil and gas industry output fell by 1.5% to 30.0144 billion manats, while non-oil and gas industry output increased by 5.4% to 14.6059 billion manats.
