Azerbaijan exports urea fertilizer to India for first time

The Urea Plant of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), a Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park resident managed by the Economic Zones Development Agency (EZDA) under the Ministry of Economy, has exported urea fertilizer to India for the first time, Report informs.
According to EZDA, at the initial stage, more than 5,000 tons of products were sent to this country.
The plant has been operating since 2019 and plays a vital role in eliminating the country's dependence on nitrogen fertilizer imports and meeting the needs of local farmers. Its products are exported to Brazil, Georgia, Turkiye, Moldova, Romania, Italy, and Bulgaria under the Made in Azerbaijan brand.
