Baku to host open rowing and canoeing championship

An open Baku rowing and canoeing championship will take place on July 20, jointly organized by the Sport and Youth Department of Baku City and the Azerbaijan Water Sports Federation, Report informs referring to the federation's press service.

The competition will be held at Baku Boulevard.

Approximately 100 rowers from Baku and Mingachevir are set to participate in the championship. Competitors will race over a distance of 500 meters.

The events will feature academic rowing and canoeing in single-seat boats, and kayaking in both single- and double-seat boats. Additionally, for the first time, participants will compete in a mixed discipline.
