Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestler Isfahan Hasanov said he did not lose motivation despite losing in the final of the U17 World Championships in Baku, Report informs.
The 80 kg wrestler made the remarks to journalists after the bout.
Hasanov said he was very disappointed to have lost the final.
"I had wrestled well until the final, and everything was going well. Unfortunately, I suffered a setback in the final. But one should not lose motivation. I had prepared seriously for the World Championships and worked very hard. If I had another chance to face the same opponent, I would fight even harder. Still, thank God, I did not leave without a medal. I will not lose motivation and will do my best in the next competitions," he said.
Isfahan Hasanov lost to Iran's Alireza Hassan Rezaei in the final and took the second step of the podium.
