Trial launched on complaint of persons arrested over Narcology Center fire

The Baku Court of Appeal has held a preliminary hearing on the appeal of persons charged with a fire incident at the Republican Narcological Center.

Report informs that the hearing on the complaint filed by judge Elmar Rahimov has been scheduled for July 15.

Notably, a terrible fire erupted in the Republican narcological dispensary at night on March 2, 25 people died.

Director of the Center Telman Mammadhasanov was sentenced for 4 years of imprisonment, employee of the center Mahir Abdullayev to 3 years and 6 months, and employee Mahammad Mammadov was sentenced to life imprisonment. Mammadov's doctor, head of department Afat Mammadova was sentenced to five years of imprisonment.
