Azerbaijani boxer Saidjamshid Jafarov (75 kg) has won the gold medal at the European Championships in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria.
According to Report, he defeated Russia's Ismail Mutsolgov 5-0 in the final (29-28, 29-28, 29-28, 29-28, 29-28).
Thus, Azerbaijan's national team finished the European Championships, which featured 406 boxers from 43 countries, with five medals - two gold, one silver and two bronze.
Earlier, boxer Subhan Mammadov (50 kg) also won gold at the Sofia tournament, while Nabi Isgandarov (70 kg) claimed silver and Amin Mammadzada (55 kg) and Mohammad Abdullayev (+90 kg) won bronze.
