Azerbaijan's Azercosmos boosts satellite service exports by 50.5%

Azerbaijan's Space Agency (Azercosmos), operating under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, exported $15.2 million worth of satellite telecommunications services in January-July 2026, according to the August issue of the Export Review published by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.

The figure increased by 50.5% compared with the same period of 2025.

During the seven months, nearly 95 companies from 35 countries imported satellite telecommunications services from Azercosmos. The number of countries declined by six compared with a year earlier.

The United Kingdom was the leading export destination, accounting for $2.5 million in exports. It was followed by Luxembourg with $1.9 million, Türkiye with $730,300, Pakistan with $669,300 and Egypt with $382,500.

Meanwhile, the share of Azercosmos' export revenues in its total revenues decreased from 66% to 62% during the reporting period.

In July alone, Azercosmos exported $2.1 million worth of satellite telecommunications services, marking a 31.25% increase compared with July 2025.
