AMD intends to buy Xilinx with $30 billion deal

US chipmaker Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is in talks to acquire local rival Xilinx, Report informs, referring to foreign media.
If the parties reach an agreement, the largest deal in the chip industry, valued at about $ 30 billion, could take place.
During the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, increased demand for computers and other electronic devices resulted in AMD's market value rising by 89% to more than $ 100 billion. In the second quarter of this year, its revenue grew by 16% year-on-year to $ 1.9 billion, and net profit more than quadrupled to $ 157 million.
Xilinx's market value has increased by 9% this year and now stands at around $ 26 billion.
