WHO director-general urges to prepare for new pandemic

World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said the next three months will be crucial for developing measures to prepare for a response to future pandemics, Report informs referring to TASS.
The next three months will be a critical period for shaping the future preparation and response to pandemics, he said, noting that WHO has a unique global mandate, uniting 194 countries in its ranks.
He reminded that the UN General Assembly session will start in September, as well as the G20 summit, followed by a special WHO session in November.
