Baku prepares for Formula 1: How traffic will change during Grand Prix

Baku is preparing for the Formula 1 Grand Prix: traffic restrictions will be implemented on the city streets within the Baku City Circuit starting September 15, Report informs, citing the Baku City Circuit operating company.
Additionally, as part of the logistics operations related to the race, traffic will be restricted from 1:00 a.m. on September 12 on the section of Pushkin Street from its intersection with Uzeyir Hajibeyli Street to Neftchilar Avenue. These restrictions will remain in place until the conclusion of the event.
According to the Traffic Management Plan, streets forming the city circuit and areas encompassed by the track will be closed to traffic from 1:00 a.m. on September 15 until 8:00 a.m. on September 23. Entry and exit to the restricted zones will only be allowed with a "Residential Area Entry Permit."
Based on the experience of the past two years, and for the convenience of residents and drivers, it has been decided to keep some main roads open during the race.
Thus, on September 15, 16, and 17, certain entry and exit points of the race zone will remain open for traffic without stopping or parking from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on September 18 from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

It is noted that these roads will only be used as transit corridors. Except in emergencies, parking, passenger pick-up, and drop-off are prohibited. Furthermore, the movement of heavy trucks and public transport is restricted.
