The next meeting of the Azerbaijani-Israeli intergovernmental commission will be held in Azerbaijan, Yael Ravia-Zadok, deputy director-general and head of the Economic Diplomacy Division at the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said in an interview with Report.
She also emphasized that the countries are committed to strengthening their economic partnership, specifically planning to organize business delegations.
"In 2026, together with Azpromo, we plan to organize a business delegation to Israel and open up opportunities for investment in infrastructure projects," she added.
According to her, Israel is already investing in various sectors in Azerbaijan, including water resources, cybersecurity, and agriculture.
"This is not the beginning, but the continuation and deepening of our cooperation. When Israeli companies look at Azerbaijan, they see an ally built on mutual respect and trust," she said.
Speaking about the recent Israel-Azerbaijan Business Forum in Baku, she noted that many companies were participating for the first time.
"Most of the companies that came as part of the delegations are newcomers to the Azerbaijani market. Nevertheless, we managed to bring together the strongest and most interesting Israeli companies with extensive international experience, who see Azerbaijan as a hub of opportunities," the deputy said.
She emphasized that trade between the two countries has tripled over the past four years.
"Even so, the potential is far from exhausted, and there is still room to grow and take our trade to new levels," she added.
The fourth session of the intergovernmental commission was held in Israel in November 2025.
