Vucic describes ties with Azerbaijani President as trust-based

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic received Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Serbia, Kamil Khasiyev, on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission.

According to Report's Balkan bureau, the Serbian president thanked the Azerbaijani ambassador for his personal contribution to strengthening the close relations and strategic partnership between the two countries during his diplomatic service.

During the meeting, the sides reviewed the progress achieved in recent years, particularly the intensive political dialogue, strong economic ties, and advances in the fields of energy and transport infrastructure. They also discussed joint projects aimed at increasing bilateral trade and attracting new investment.

Vucic emphasized that the trust-based relationship he has established with President Ilham Aliyev provides a special impetus for the further development of comprehensive cooperation between Serbia and Azerbaijan.

He also highly praised Azerbaijan's consistent and principled support for Serbia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

"I highly appreciate the professionalism, sincerity, and commitment to cooperation demonstrated by Ambassador Khasiyev during his tenure in our country, and I wish him every success and achievement in his future endeavors," the Serbian president added.
