After the conflict, the Azerbaijani government vowed to ensure the safe return of people to the liberated territories, UN Resident Coordinator Vladanka Andreeva said at a conference on the role of women in the post-war restoration works.
She stressed the need to clear the areas of mines and ensure employment opportunities there.
Andreeva said the UN had long been a partner of the Azerbaijani government. She noted that the organization would support the efforts of the Azerbaijani government. The UN official promised to do their best to bring women together at the table.
