Russia's Tayga.info website publishes article on Khojaly genocide

Russia's website Tayga.info has published an article on the 30th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide.
Report informs that the article mentioned the Khojaly tragedy as one of the bloodiest pages of the history of the Azerbaijani people.
"On the night of February 25-26, 1992, Armenian armed forces, with the participation of armoured vehicles and servicemen of the 366th Guards Motor Rifle Regiment of the former USSR stationed in Khankandi, captured the city of Khojaly, inhabited mainly by Azerbaijanis. More than 600 residents were killed in the attack, and despite the fact that 30 years have passed, the perpetrators have not been punished yet," the article said.
The website emphasizes that the events in Khojaly are one of the bloodiest and most brutal episodes of the First Karabakh War. Reporting about the number of people killed in the genocide, Tayga.info later referred to the reviews of a number of researchers and political scientists about the tragedy.
In addition, the article reflected the chronicle of the struggle of Azerbaijan on various platforms for the international recognition of the Khojaly genocide: "The mayors of the cities of Fayetteville, Durham and Apex in the US State of North Carolina proclaimed February 26 as the "Khojaly Remembrance Day'. In this regard, a conference entitled "Karabakh and the Khojaly genocide" will be held. Members of the British Parliament also expressed condolences to the people of Azerbaijan. A month ago, Azerbaijan raised the issue of impunity for the perpetrators of the Khojaly genocide at the UN, and the Foreign Ministry called on official Yerevan to admit the crimes in order not to repeat them in the future."
