President of Azerbaijan: Time to turn dark page of history with Armenia

President Ilham Aliyev expressed hope that the peoples of Azerbaijan and Armenia will be able to turn over the dark page of history and live in peace.

As Report informs, Aliyev stated this in Washington, speaking at a meeting with the leaders of the US and Armenia.

"President Trump brought peace to the South Caucasus, and we are grateful to him for this. I am confident that Armenia and Azerbaijan will find the courage and responsibility to reconcile, and the peoples will also reconcile. We will turn the page of confrontation, conflict, and bloodshed and ensure a bright and secure future for our children. That is why I am very happy because today we are writing a new great history. Once again, Mr. President, thank you for everything you do for us, for our region, and for the whole world," said the President of Azerbaijan.
