President: Azerbaijan has always stood by Turkey

"The people and state of Azerbaijan have unequivocally condemned this treacherous coup attempt from the very first minutes. Just as Turkey supports Azerbaijan in all matters, Azerbaijan has always stood by Turkey," President Ilham Aliyev wrote in the letter addressed to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Report informs, citing AzerTag.

On the night of July 16, a group of militaries attempted to usurp power in the country but failed, as thousands of people took to the streets to support the incumbent government at President Erdogan's call.
