Macron hopes for swift signing of peace treaty between Yerevan and Baku

French President Emmanuel Macron has expressed support for the initialed peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia, brokered with the mediation of US President Donald Trump, according to Report.

"I once again welcomed the agreement facilitated by the United States between Armenia and Azerbaijan aimed at normalizing relations between the two countries. I expressed hope that this agreement will soon lead to the signing and ratification of a peace treaty that takes into account the interests of both sides," Macron said on X, following a phone call with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

The French leader also emphasized France’s readiness to "support and contribute to ongoing efforts, including strengthening ties, in cooperation with all regional participants and partners."
