German expert: World stands at the center of AI revolution

The world is at the center of the artificial intelligence (AI) revolution, Lena Weiler, Program Manager of the Sector Program Cities from Germany, said during an event held within the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, Report informs.

According to Weiler, the development of artificial intelligence also brings certain risks: "The risk is that people without easy access to data may fall further behind. UniTec is one of the organizations working to prevent this. The report presented today focused on vulnerable groups: low-income communities, those affected by the crisis in Ukraine, urban poor in Namibia, people living in informal settlements with limited access to public services, and municipalities struggling to serve their populations. We must be able to summarize complex data into a format that allows any mayor to make decisions. Only then can we say we have a truly useful and valuable digital tool."
