Georgian expert: Azerbaijan's peace policy promotes South Caucasus development

Azerbaijan's policy aimed at strengthening peace and regional cooperation plays an important role in the development of the South Caucasus, political analyst Vato Shakarishvili, Executive Secretary of the United Neutral Georgia party said, according to Report's Georgian bureau.
He noted that peace and stability in the South Caucasus remain among Georgia's top priorities and are essential for strengthening the region's position under the new geopolitical realities and for advancing its economic development.
Shakarishvili noted that Georgia is actively pursuing this policy and supports the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
"The steps taken by Azerbaijan to ensure peace and security in the region, as well as to expand platforms for cooperation, deserve high praise. This policy contributes to strengthening stability and accelerating the economic development of the South Caucasus," he said.
The expert added that deeper cooperation among the countries of the region creates new economic opportunities and has a positive impact on the well-being of the peoples of the South Caucasus. According to him, Azerbaijan's initiatives also promote regional integration and strengthen mutual trust.
