Former Georgian Deputy PM hopes for peace in South Caucasus

"The stability and development issues in the South Caucasus need to be considered." former Georgian Deputy Prime Minister Eka Tkeshelashvili said at a panel on "South Caucasus, reconciliation, cooperation and integration" within the IX Global Baku Forum, Report informs.
"We are currently witnessing many economic changes," she added. "Therefore, we can put forward more remarkable regional initiatives. There is now hope for peace in the region."
Speaking about the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Tkeshelashvili stressed that Georgia offered to hold trilateral talks and Azerbaijan was ready to participate in these talks: "Relations between the peoples of the region are significant. This is difficult to achieve at present, as key issues remain unresolved. Attempts at interaction are very important."
