Foreign Ministries of Azerbaijan and Qatar hold political consultations

The next round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and Qatar took place in Baku, Report informs referring to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

The Azerbaijani delegation at the consultations was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev, the Qatari delegation was led by State Minister for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad al-Mureikhi.

During the consultations, the current situation and prospects for bilateral cooperation in the political, economic, energy, humanitarian spheres, inter-parliamentary relations, as well as issues of cooperation within international organizations, including the UN, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Non-Aligned Movement were discussed.

The Qatari side was informed about the situation in the region in the post-conflict period, including reconstruction, construction work and the reintegration process in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan.

The parties also exchanged views on regional and global issues of mutual interest.
