Bayramov: Potential of Caspian Sea can soon turn Azerbaijan into exporter of green energy

The potential of the Caspian Sea can soon turn Azerbaijan into an exporter of green energy, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at a meeting of the foreign ministers of the Caspian states in Moscow, Report's Russian bureau informs.

"Along with rich oil and gas reserves, the Caspian Sea has wind energy potential. The wind energy potential in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea is 157 GW, which in the near future can turn Azerbaijan into an exporter of green energy," Bayramov said.

According to the minister, Azerbaijan has modern infrastructure, transport and logistics capabilities, which continue to expand.
