Within the framework of the Saudi Vision 2030 strategy, Saudi Arabia has implemented more than 170 initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for the population, Abdullah J. Alharbi, a representative of Saudi Arabia's Quality of Life Program Center, said during a panel discussion at WUF13, as quoted by Report.
"To date, more than 170 initiatives have been implemented, encompassing hundreds of individual projects that help achieve the set goals," he emphasized.
As an example, Alharbi cited the development of sports infrastructure in Saudi Arabia.
According to him, thanks to this, the share of adults regularly engaging in physical activity has grown from 13% in 2016 to 59% at present.
According to him, urban planning directly affects people's daily lives.
He reported that the Quality of Life program, implemented by the Center, was established after the launch of Saudi Vision 2030 in 2016 and is responsible for the implementation of 10 strategic goals of the country.
According to Alharbi, the program covers such areas as urban development, tourism, sports, culture, and infrastructure.
