Argentina have defeated Austria at the FIFA World Cup.
Report informs that the South American side claimed a 2-0 win in the Group J Matchday 2 game held at Dallas Stadium.
Both goals were scored by Argentina captain Lionel Messi, who found the net in the 38th and 90+5th minutes.
With his brace, Messi took his World Cup tally to 18 goals, surpassing former Germany forward Miroslav Klose, who scored 16.
The match was officiated by Egyptian FIFA referee Amin Omar.
In the group's other match, Jordan will face Algeria at 07:00 (GMT+4).
