The World Bank works at the request of governments. If there is such an appeal from Azerbaijan, we are glad to bring our experience," said Sarah Michael, head of the World Bank's office in Azerbaijan, Report informs.
She said that her organization has extensive experience in this area: "The real name of the World Bank is the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development. So working in reconstruction and post-conflict areas is a core part of the identities of the World Bank. In an area, we will bring global expertise from close countries that face similar situations.
Azerbaijan has been a member of the World Bank since 1992. The bank has provided a total of $ 3.5 billion in loans to Azerbaijan to implement more than 50 projects.
