Problem loans in Azerbaijan up 36%

As of September 1, 2026, the volume of overdue loans in Azerbaijan amounted to 721.8 million manats, Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

This figure represents a 36% increase compared to a year earlier, and a 0.2% decrease compared to August 1.

Since the beginning of the year, the volume of overdue loans has grown by 37.6%.

Their share in the total loan portfolio at the end of August stood at 2.1%, remaining unchanged from the previous month. This indicator was 1.6% at the end of 2025 and 1.7% at the end of August last year.
